We live in a world that moves faster every day. New technologies appear, roles change and the pressure to keep up seems endless. Yet, after years of working in AI and digital transformation, I have come to believe that the true value of technology is not speed. It is space.
Space to think. Space to create. Space to connect. Space to be human.
For a long time, technology was mainly about doing more in less time. Today, AI gives us something much more valuable. It removes repetitive work and helps us focus on what people do best: asking better questions, seeing opportunities, building relationships and making meaningful decisions.
This is why I believe human skills are becoming more important, not less important. Creativity, empathy, communication and leadership are the skills that will set people apart in the age of AI.
The organisations that will thrive are not necessarily the ones with the most technology. They are the ones that understand how to combine technology with humanity.
AI is not about replacing people. It is about giving people the opportunity to do more meaningful work.
And perhaps that is the biggest opportunity in front of us.
Not to become faster machines, but to become better humans.
