I recently joined the BusinessWise podcast (in Dutch 🇳🇱) to talk about AI strategy and vision.. and somehow, what started as a chat about technology turned into a deep dive into the future of work.

We laughed.
We got serious.
And we explored one simple question: What will work look like in the next 12 to 18 months?

Let’s be honest

AI isn’t just a tool anymore.
It’s weaving itself into every workflow, every process, every message we send and every idea we shape.

The real question isn’t how do we use AI, but how do we want to work in a world where AI is everywhere?

Here’s how I see it:

✨ AI will become your daily co-worker, not your sidekick.
Think of it as the colleague who never sleeps, keeps you sharp, and sometimes finishes the things you didn’t have time for.

✨ Teams will shift from using tools to orchestrating outcomes.
The ones who succeed won’t ask “Which app?” but “What impact?”

✨ Agents will quietly take over the workflows you secretly dislike.
Those repetitive tasks you push to tomorrow? They’ll disappear — and you’ll wonder why you ever did them manually.

✨ Leadership will evolve.
It won’t be about managing people, but about designing collaboration between humans and AI.
Trust will replace fear.

The bigger shift

This next era isn’t about automation.
It’s about augmentation a new kind of teamwork between humans and machines.

Yes, it’s exciting.
Yes, it’s a little scary.
And yes, I still typed this post myself.

But let’s be real… keyboards are living on borrowed time. 😏
One day soon, we’ll just think and say our ideas and our Copilot will do the rest.

Until then, I’ll keep typing and dreaming about what’s next.
